The jHistorian is the only non-proprietary historian capable of storing large amounts of process control information efficiently into non-proprietary relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL or MS Access.
jHistorian will connect to any system that supports OPC the standard industrial connection interface. This means that whether you have a Foxboro, Bailey, Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB, F&P DCS (or in fact any modern DCS), jHistorian will connect to it. Likewise, if your PLC is an Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, Square D, Omron or any OPC compatible PLC, then jHistorian will also connect to it. Likewise, modern SCADA systems like Wonderware, PI, Citect, Adroit and others all provide OPC connectivity.

How to Connect jHistorian to an OPC source.
jHistorian stores data into your choice of database including Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL and MS Access. Additionally, jHistorian will run on Microsoft Windows or Linux.
jHistorian can store in excess of a million tags a minute directly into easily accessible relational databases. jHistorian also maintains the database so that there is no need for excessive maintenance on the database.
jHistorian will automatically read the tag database from the OPC source and create the database tables. This means you can get your system up and running in a minimal amount of time.
jHistorian stores the data using a simple, clear database structure so you can start using the data immediately in your applications. The databases are 100% standard, the table structure is published and the system creates the tables automatically.

Since jHistorian stores the information directly into the relational database of your choice, (rather than in a proprietary format), you have at your disposal a large array of visibility and manipulation tools. These include:

jHistorian will function efficiently and reliable in small systems (with as little as 100 tags) and just as efficiently with many hundreds of thousands of tags. Additionally, jHistorian will connect to many OPC sources simultaneously. This means you can start small and progressively automate your site without worrying about hitting a limit.
Connect many OPC sources to your jHistorian and allow 10, 25 or many more users to view the data.
Create a Corporate Data Warehouse by linking the jHistorians on all your sites together using the corporate connectivity facility.
Choose the storage rate of data or have multiple storage rates. Choose whether you want maximums, minimums, averages or samples. Choose whether you want to store events.....all in the standard relational database.
A logical and powerful Application Interface means you can not only view data, but write data into the historian database. (For example, to write model corrected data or remote time delayed information.)
jHistorian is ideal to be embedded as an OEM product. Because of its clear and logical structure, customized features are also easily incorporated.
Choose from economical e-mail support right up to 24x7 support via our industrial engineers.
Pricing from less than a dollar per tag means your requirements can be met within your budget.
