The diagram
on the right shows the main components of jLog application. In
this case, we have used the LogBook as an example, but other
applications look similar in form to this.
Toolbar: There are buttons and links to enable various
functions relating to the logbook at the top of the window.
Log Form: When a user clicks on a log in the logbook grid, the additional information relating to the selected log is displayed in the logbook form at the top of the screen. This is also the area where the User can enter or modify the information or specify a filter.
Form Fields: These are the individual areas where the user can view or modify the selected record.
Log Grid: The log entries are displayed usually in reverse chronological (latest at the top) form in the main logbook grid. This is the large grid in the lower part of the window.
Grid Records: These are the individual records that make up the table in the Log Grid.
